HISTORICAL RECORD

As opposed to what one could think, the invention of the aeropulse is not German, but quite French... The guiding principles of pulsatory combustion are developed since 1864 by LOUVRIE, ESNAULT-PELTERIE (in 1908) then LORIN in 1913 France was to the vanguard of this technique. Tests were taken in 1930, but alone those of Paul Schmidt in Germany, led to a feasible model: the propellant " Argus " that will fit the bomb V-1.

It is at the end of World War II, that one sees to appear the first scale models in circulary flight with 1,5 Kg thrust American " Dyna-Jet " engine . These engines had frontal air inlet, and the increase of the air debit due to the speed was compensated empirically by the centrifugal power !

It is at the end of the 70's that Paolo Zanin in Italy, markets a reliable and easy to use engine . However, to this day, it is still the only manufacturer in Europe to commercialize pulsejets in mass production ... (cf the site web in the page of links !).
